BELIZE CITY, BELIZE — Dimitra Incorporated, a global Agtech company on a mission to make its technology available to farmers globally, is collaborating with Chifco, a Tunisian company that specializes in the field of internet of things, machine learning, big data, and business intelligence.
Through the Connected Farmer Platform, Dimitra is creating value and supporting the growth ambitions of Tunisian farmers by rethinking the best way to use their data to respond to tomorrow’s issues. By using advanced technologies like blockchain and machine learning in agriculture, farmers have the opportunity to increase their productivity and food security.
Tunisia is a net importer of agricultural products such as wheat, soybeans, barley, corn, vegetable oils, and sugar. Together, Dimitra and Chifco are promoting innovative ideas and upgrades in Tunisian agriculture. The project will help small-scale farmers and fishers to improve their operations, increase yields, and access new resources and technologies.
The MENA Regional Director, Mr. Maged Elmontaser, states, “Chifco will play a great role in the success of battling climate change. I believe the cooperation between Chifco and Dimitra will change the adoption of emerging technologies for the local Tunisian farmers and fishers while enabling them to be ready for the new global challenges for a brighter future for the Tunisian Economy.”
Chifco’s CEO and Founder, Amine Chouaieb, says, “Partnering with Dimitra Technology is a first step into the agritech space. We aim to join forces in order to provide an adapted offer to the market.“
