Dimitra Application to Elevate the Ugandan Agricultural Sector

BELIZE CITY, BELIZE — Dimitra Incorporated, a global Agtech company on a mission to make its technology available to smallholder farmers globally, is working together with the National Informational Technology Authority and the Uganda Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries to supply, commission, install and maintain the countries Agro Input Traceability System.

Dimitra’s Ugandan partner, Loys Technologies, will guide the implementation and provide for in-country training and support services. Dimitra will also integrate features from Morpheus.Network into the Dimitra Connected Farmer platform to enhance traceability of agricultural inputs.

The Uganda Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries is deploying the Dimitra platform to provide agrochemicals, seed, and farm produce monitoring and export compliance management.

The platform will initially focus on the management of maize, cotton, coffee, tea, and cassava, potentially expanding to other crops in the future. This project will be rolled out extensively across the country, connecting e-payments capabilities and the Generic ePhyto National System (GeNS), which digitizes export documentation. In addition, Dimitra will be providing its’ Connected Farmer App alongside several new custom modules and integrating elements of the Morpheus.Network supply chain management system to provide a comprehensive seed-to-sale platform.

Together, Uganda MAAIF and Dimitra will deliver cutting-edge technologies and data-driven insights to farmers, allowing them access to information and guidelines that help improve their profitability in an increasingly sustainable way through Dimitra’s application.
