AMA Summary: Dimitra CEO Jon Trask and Gate.Io

Q: Why don’t you tell us a little about Dimitra?
A: Dimitra is an international company with a mission to deliver elegant and simple agricultural technology (AgTech) globally to farmers via blockchain.
Think of Dimitra as the operating system for Ag-Tech and the utility of DMTR token drives the value within the Dimitra ecosystem. Dimitra has team members in over 60 countries and we expect this to double in 2022.
In a nutshell, we are on a mission to help with food security, food traceability, increase food sustainability and more sustainable farming methods, and improve the lives of small farmers across the world.
Q: And what role does $DMTR play in the platform/ecosystem?

Each token acts as a catalyst for our farmer points program, our ecosystem programs, our Dimitra economy and our innovation programs.
Within the Dimitra platform we have what we call our “farmer points program” which incentivizes farmers to enter their data in the Dimitra platform. Once the data is entered, it is converted and our machine learning algorithms provide insights for the farmers with actionable insights on how they can 1) improve their farming outputs ie produce more food, 2) reduce their expenses (imagine using less pesticides or less fertilizer), and 3) mitigate risk (imagine being able to know that really hot weather is coming in advance to adjust what you do to your crops or what you plant).
Another way to imagine the Dimitra Platform, is the farmer uses the Dimitra platform, and the farmer is given Dimitra points and then at a certain threshold level of points those points are able to be converted into Dimitra tokens and then the farmer can either buy ecosystem services within the Dimitra platform such as sensors or satellite services, or the farmer can exchange the Dimitra tokens into other crypto currencies or off ramp into their local fiat. The DMTR token plays a key role in our platform and ecosystem.
Q: What are some of Dimitra’s biggest achievements so far?
A: Some achievements Dimitra has are being listed on Gate, Kucoin, Uniswap and Bitmart.
In addition to this, Dimitra has won some large contracts with the Brazilian Fruit Growers Association which is the 3rd largest fruit growing nation in the world, in India for 1.3 million farms and 350k farms, in Bangladesh for 1 million farms, in Uganda and more announcements are coming in 2022.

We are making a new announcement today and have secured 3 new deals to start working in Nepal with over 400,000 farmers to start.
Looking back at 2021, I am very grateful for what we’ve achieved and none of it could have happened without the help of our amazing internal team, our developers, our Ag and Crypto partners, and most importantly the farmers across the world and the associations that work with the farmers.
Q: Now, could you tell us a little more about your roadmap moving forward? What are you hoping to achieve in 2022?
A: Absolutely! Dimitra has big goals and in 2022, we hope to have agreements in place with over 20 countries, to have our SaaS model live, and to double our headcount.
Over the next 5 years we want to have 100 million farmers using our platform. Currently, the world wide number of crypto wallets is around 225 million so imagine the impact Dimitra will have.
We will continue building, expanding the Dimitra platform’s capabilities and delivering real value to farmers (our biggest goal) and improving people’s lives across the world. Dimitra is building an ecosystem platform and a worldwide community which is the key to our success and some many different skill sets and deliverables are ahead.
Q: Those are some ambitious goals, glad to hear that Dimitra plans on tackling them. Can you tell us what is the advantage of holding $DMTR tokens?
A: There are many advantages.
Firstly, agriculture (one of the worlds largest sectors) is largely untouched for crypto investors and we are really the only company doing what we do and taking our approach of focussing on small farmers vs large industrial farms. Most people don’t know that most of the food across the world is produced by small farms and feeds most of the planet.
Plus Ag-Tech is one of the world’s largest business verticals where everybody needs to eat! Over 500 million farms employ over 3 billion people. Q: Do you have an AUDIT certificate or are you working to AUDIT your project, so that the security of the project becomes more secure and reliable?
A: Yes we have been audited by Certik.
Q: Is this your project only for elite investors, how about others with small funds, is it open to everyone?
A: Our token is available to the world, right here on Gate.io you can invest any amount.
Q: Can you briefly describe your Partnerships so far and upcoming partnerships?
A: We have many partnerships. On the crypto and tech sides we work with Unizen, Morpheus.Network, Enterprise Ethereum, Agstack, Linux and many more. We have some great announcements about new partnerships coming this month.
Q: Are you planning to promote your project in countries / regions where English is not good? Do you have a local community for them to better understand your project?
A: We have local communities in South America in both Portuguese and Spanish. In Asia we have Groups in Korean, Chinese and are adding Arabic and others soon.

Q: Many blockchain projects are on paper only and no product or product has no practical meaning. Please let us know what is your project currently practical product in use? What are your plans for the product to be better in the future?
A: Our platform is up and running in many countries. The first version of our software has been out since spring last year and we are releasing our SaaS model soon, it is in testing on two continents now.
Q: Do you guys feel satisfied by seeing your progress and achievements till now, when you look back to the day when you have started this project?
A: We are so excited by what we achieved so far. We still wake up excited to continue to grow. We make a huge impact on the agricultural world everyday. Crypto can have an incredible impact in a largely untouched vertical.
Growth has been incredible. We have grown to over 125 team members and over 60 regional partners.
Q: Do your tokens have farming and staking usages, and if yes, what APR do you give to us?
A: Yes we have a staking program that provides 13% APY and are currently developing our own validator nodes which will be released soon.
Q: What is the project’s revenue model? In which ways do you generate revenue/profit?
A: We have multiple tiers of revenue. We start with multi-million dollar licensing contracts with farming cooperatives, governments, agriculture service companies. We add in sensors, satellite, weather, soil and genetics services. Revenue per user is strong — our sensors which provide data to the network sell for $10-$50 each. Many farms need several and we have millions of farms under contract.
Q: Are you afraid some day there will be another project with more innovative technology that can replace your project ?
A: This is a huge market and there is room for other tech companies. In fact beyond the tech that we build we offer our platform and infrastructure to other innovative firms in order to offer more services to our customers.
We are running an innovation program right now and are awarding over 200,000 tokens to innovative companies that want to offer their software and concepts on our platform. We have over 50 companies with great solutions that we are reviewing right now.
